{"id":1384,"date":"2023-03-02T14:48:45","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T14:48:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/info.jibunu.blue\/?p=1384"},"modified":"2023-03-02T15:14:14","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T15:14:14","slug":"qa-note-tool-user-instructions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/02\/qa-note-tool-user-instructions\/","title":{"rendered":"QA Note Tool \u2013 User Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Testing of survey programming is an important part of making sure that logic is functioning as intended.\u00a0 With complex logic and potentially numerous paths to follow, this process can often be time consuming.\u00a0 The QA Note Tool was created to hopefully assist with the review process, reducing the required time by providing a systematic method for noting and sharing issues (internally, at your end), and then submitting change requests to Jibunu.<\/p>\n<p>When the Note Tool has been activated for your project, you will see two icons on the right side, in the upper section, after clicking the test link.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/QA-Tool-Icons.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1385 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/QA-Tool-Icons.png\" alt=\"QA Tool Icons\" width=\"69\" height=\"102\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When initially selecting either icon, you will be asked to log in\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>using your JUMP account if you are a user with access to the project,<\/li>\n<li>using your email address if you do not have JUMP access to the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This defines the roles and capabilities for a \u201cprimary\u201d user (with direct JUMP project access), and for a \u201csecondary\u201d user (without direct JUMP project access).\u00a0 A secondary user may be an internal team member who is not assigned to the project, or it could be an end-client.\u00a0 Notes\/Comments from secondary users are funneled through the primary users, who can then determine what should be submitted to Jibunu to implement.<\/p>\n<p>Once logged in, selecting the \u201c+\u201d button will allow you to add a note associated with the question that was visible at the time the \u201c+\u201d button was selected.\u00a0 The window that appears will indicate the question label (\u201cLANG_SELECT\u201d in the following example).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Updated-QA-Notes-Image.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1388\" src=\"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Updated-QA-Notes-Image.png\" alt=\"Updated QA Notes Image\" width=\"730\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Updated-QA-Notes-Image.png 977w, https:\/\/info.jibunu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Updated-QA-Notes-Image-300x197.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the pull-down will only indicate the current question.\u00a0 However, if there is a note that should be applied to multiple, similar questions, there is a check box to \u201cShow All Questions,\u201d and additional questions can be added to the note from the pull-down (based on selecting the question label).\u00a0 Below that, is a box for entering the note, then another pull-down for either selecting the Note Type, or entering a custom note type.\u00a0 Available options are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Piping<\/li>\n<li>Formatting Issue<\/li>\n<li>Programming Issue<\/li>\n<li>Document Error<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For surveys with multiple languages, there is a pull-down to include the other languages, if the note would also apply.<\/p>\n<p>The last item is a check box that can be used when the issue is \u201cSimilar to a previous note.\u201d\u00a0 When checked, a window will appear, showing previous notes.\u00a0 One can then be selected to automatically be inserted into the current note field.\u00a0 Once the note information has been completed, the green \u201cAdd\u201d button must be clicked to save the note.<\/p>\n<p>The triple bar (a.k.a. hamburger) button on the right (below the \u201c+\u201d button), allows you to view all the notes.\u00a0 A primary user will see the notes from other primary users as well as secondary users.\u00a0 Secondary users will only see secondary user notes, and not primary user notes.<\/p>\n<p>This window offers filtering options based on the Status of the notes and the Language.\u00a0 Possible Statuses are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entered<\/strong>: The assigned status when a note has been added.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submitted<\/strong>: The status will change from Entered or Reopened to Submitted after a primary user clicks the Submit Notes button. This button is not available to secondary users, although they will see the updated status.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implemented<\/strong>: This status is updated from Jibunu\u2019s end, after a note has been addressed and QA reviewed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Confirmed<\/strong>: This status is for the primary or secondary reviewer to set, after reviewing the Implemented change.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reopened<\/strong>: If there is an issue with the Implemented change, the note can be Reopened.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duplicate<\/strong>: The primary user can select this, if applicable, and the note will not get submitted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not Needed<\/strong>: Similarly, the primary user can use this status to prevent a note from getting submitted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>N\/A<\/strong>: This status is updated from Jibunu\u2019s end, if a submitted note cannot be implemented for some reason.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clicking the Submit Notes button will also create an email that lists the \u201cEntered\u201d notes.\u00a0 The email gets sent to the Jibunu PM and \u201cProjects\u201d (which all Jibunu PMs have access to), with a copy also going to the user submitting the notes.\u00a0 <u>It is important that an updated survey document also be emailed separately to the Jibunu PM, if any of the noted items would typically require such an update.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Various actions are available for individual notes, depending on the status and the user.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>View Details<\/strong>: allows some updating and additional commenting. Entered notes have the most flexibility, while Implemented\/Confirmed notes would have the least flexibility to edit. Occasionally, Jibunu may add Comments to specific notes. A red circle with a count will appear for notes with unviewed Comments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete<\/strong>: Only notes with a status of Entered can be deleted. A primary user can delete notes created by other primary users as well as secondary users. Secondary users can only delete notes created by secondary users.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open branched link<\/strong>: This provides a direct link to the question that is noted.
